Mama, You’re Crushing It

Mama friend,

You’re crushing it.

I know it might not feel like it, but you are.

Every morning you get up, get out of bed, and care for those in your house.

I know there are some days you wish you could hide beneath the covers all day (or even for an extra hour).

But you get out of bed and handle what needs to be done.

I know you feel like you’re failing, but you’re not. Even though your to-do list never gets any shorter, that’s okay. Don’t let your value be dictated by what it says.

I know there’s laundry still in the dryer from a couple of days ago.

There are dishes that continue to pile up by the sink.

When one mess gets cleaned up, there’s another one that needs attention.

And that sticky spot on the floor is still there.

Don’t be so hard on yourself.

You’d see the same thing if you walked into my house right now.

Keep showing up.

Keep being present with your kids.

Keep pushing through, even when it feels like you can’t take another step.

Keep turning to God for strength and wisdom.

The rest will work itself out.

That rest will be forgotten. The rest will fade away and not matter years from now.

But your influence matters.

God has not placed you here just to abandon you. He’s walking with you through this. He’s strengthening you every step of the way.

Keep your eyes on Him, and keep showing up.

Mama, you’re crushing it.
