Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Welcome! I’m so glad you stopped by. I’m Tynea, a 30-something mother of two young girls. A lot has changed in the last few years, but I’ve been blessed in more way than I can count.
Before starting on this journey of motherhood, I was an elementary teacher. Walking away from the classroom was a difficult decision, but ultimately I wanted to be able to invest in the lives of my own children, and I knew God was calling me to embrace a new season of life in that way. There’s no doubt I made the right decision, but there are days…oh, you know the days…the days you want to pull out your hair and you question what you’re doing.
Some days I wonder why God decided to entrust these little sweeties to my care. Am I actually capable? Does He really have the right person here? There are days I don’t know how I’m going to make it to nap time, supper time, or bedtime. But God gives me the strength and wisdom for each moment, and He is gracious when I feel as though I don’t measure up. So thankful for that!
On my heart is a burning desire to help other moms feeling stuck on that sticky kitchen floor, buried in laundry, and just plain old exhausted. May the Lord use my simple words to breathe new life into you. May He use me to encourage you as you embark on the incredibly wonderful and consuming journey of motherhood (and show you you’re not alone). And may He use my own words to redirect my steps. Just ask my husband, I lose perspective many days.
Everything we do matters. Every crumb we pick up. Every plate we wash. Every nose we wipe. Every diaper we change. God sees it all and is right next to us, encouraging us not to give up, for we are doing a good work.
Blessings to you!
