Sunrises and sunsets. My favorite parts of summer. The silence fills the air, and I can take a moment to be still.
They’re a reminder from God to slow down and take in the beauty he has created. They are a chance to see how intricately God works. He paints with beautiful colors, slightly different every morning and each night.
No two sunrises or sunsets are exactly the same, and yet they are constant. The sun rises every morning and sets each night. While the rest of the world spins around in chaos, the consistency of the sunrises and sunsets remind us of God’s unwavering presence and faithfulness.
He will never change. Even when everything else around us changes, he doesn’t.
Just as each morning and night is draped in different colors, God uses different ways to reveal himself to us. However, he will always reveal himself to those who seek him.
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13 NIV)
What beauty we find in the nature he created. What peace we find in the stillness as the world comes into light and slips into darkness. What beauty we find when we seek God.
I’m thankful for how God pulls me to sit at his feet and soak in everything about him.
Amen… I love what you wrote: Just as each morning and night is draped in different colors, God uses different ways to reveal himself to us. However, he will always reveal himself to those who seek him. As we walk with Him isn’t it amazing all the different ways He chooses to reveal Himself to us, whether it be through sunrises and sunsets, nature or true friendships. Well said-
