A New Journey

Today is the first official day of our new journey. Michael starts his seminary classes today. This is the first year we’ve been married that he’s not spending the week setting up a classroom or attending in-service meetings.

We are embarking on this unknown two-year journey, but we are excited for what is to come.

Although we don’t know where God will lead us once Michael’s schooling is complete, we are following after that call.

I came across this verse today, and it hit me in a new way. I pray that it speaks to you, no matter what you are facing today. I pray for you to be filled with hope, joy, and peace.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13 NIV)

Lord,

Thank you for working the pieces together in a way that only you could.
There are so many unknowns on this journey, but we know you. We know that your plan is better than anything we could come up with on our own, and we know that you will make each bend in the road clear at the right time. I ask that you equip Michael to do the work you have planned for him. Help me to support him and encourage him along the way. We know you are in control, and we look to you for our direction. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity! In Jesus’ name, amen!
