Happy New Year!
Another beginning.
Another fresh start.
I don’t know what this year has in store, but I’m looking forward to the new things it brings. I know there will be highs and lows. I know there will be laughter and sorrow. No matter what this year holds, I’m thankful I don’t have to walk it alone.
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” Proverbs 16:3
This year I am committing everything I do to the Lord. I am looking for his direction in all the moments of my day. I know I need direction from him – in the large things as well as the small ones. There are some things weighing on my heart that I turn over to him. I ask for his direction and his steady hand to lead my year.
This is a year of seeking. This is a year of learning more about God and who he wants me to be. This is the year of growth. This is a year of stepping out in faith.
I don’t know what all of that looks like right now, but my prayer for this year is one of direction.
What is your prayer for this year?
Lord, I commit this year to you. Everything I do, I want it to be for your glory. I don’t want to worry about pleasing other people; it’s about following after you and listening to the call you have placed on my life. I don’t fully know what that looks like right now, but I ask for wisdom and direction and for you to lead me. Thank you for giving wisdom to those who ask. Thank you for revealing yourself to those who seek. Thank you for who you are! In Jesus name, amen.
So true! Very inspirational, loved reading it!
